Alleluia! Christ is Risen! Part of my call to raise up an army of artists is a call to pray about everything, and listen to God and do what He tells me. And then tell the story of what God can do through prayer. Being a disciple of Jesus in the world of the arts takes a lot of faith. Those of us who know, know we live in a war zone. And a piece of this "listening to God and praying about everything assignment" is the direction to say "yes" to everything. That's not a business strategy. It's a correction to my tendency to be overcautious. I almost never have the resources to do the things that come up. And so, I bite my lip, take a breath, and say "yes." Knowing full well I am going to have to trust God again for a plane ticket, or whatever. And I have learned to trust God, mostly. Many people never experience the care of a loving God, because they refuse to trust the loving God and surrender. So again, last January, I was invited to attend the Commonwealth Prayer Gathering in London, and I said "yes," even though I didn't want to. And God provided plane tickets, decent clothes to wear, and favor with everyone I met. A lot of prayer gatherings are backward looking. Back in the day people repented for the sins of the past. And a lot of prayer people haven't moved on. And at the end of the meeting, the Coptic Orthodox Archbishop stood up, and he said: "In the Resurrection your sins are washed away, and we are called by the power of the Holy Spirit to look forward, and create in the Kingdom. The Resurrection is looking forward, not back." In the Resurrection we are called to create. We are called to look forward and not back. There are fifty days between Easter and Pentecost. And those days are meant to build from the Resurrection to the Release of the Holy Spirit. We are called to create in the Kingdom. And so over the next few weeks, I am going to tell more stories of how God is calling us to create and to build. God wants us to show the world all that artists and creative people can do when they listen, pray, obey, and move in the power of the Holy Spirit. Alleluia, Christ is Risen. He is risen indeed. Alleluia. He Never Fails, Christ
